The school day at Castlebrook High School has 25 lessons, each lasting one hour, across the week. The school operates a two week timetable cycle of 50 lessons.
The school operates a ‘split’ lunchtime. This split is determined by the room in which learners have their period 4. This means that learners will have a combination of both ‘early’ and ‘late’ lunches within the two week timetable cycle.
The lunchtime is split to ensure that all learners have the facility to sit and eat their lunch and the option is provided for learners to go outside should they wish, and should the weather allow. No learner is allowed off school premises at lunchtime.
The School Timetable …
At break time – learners are allowed to either stay in the canteen or go outside.
Snacks are available from the canteen at break time. Please note fizzy drinks as well as high sugar content drinks are not allowed in school.
At home time – Please avoid parking directly outside school to avoid congestion.
Please also speak to your child to ensure that they reflect the high standards of Castlebrook High School by respecting staff, learners and the school environment and by taking pride in wearing their school uniform. They are our ambassadors to and from school and only the highest standards of behaviour are acceptable.
After School – The Independent Learning Zone (ILZ) is open after school for Out of Hours Study Club from 3.05 – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 3.05 – 3.30pm on Fridays.
