Year 7 Residential Print E-mail

During the second week of term, 72 of our first year learners accompanied staff to Manor Adventure for a three-day residential.  The aim of the trip was to make learners realise they can overcome any problems and to get to know more children Year7 Residentialin their year.  Over the course of three days, the children experienced nine activities including abseiling, rip wire and caving.  They had a great time making new friends and trying challenging activities.

With the temperature running at a balmy 2°C - it was freezing but the activities kept everybody warm.  It was a great way for children and staff to get to know each other a little better.  The trip will run again next year.  Mrs Lawrence would like to thank Miss Troy, Miss Sowerby, Miss Ayris, Mr Peacock and Mr Gildea for all their help in running the trip and thanks again to all the learners for their excellent behaviour – they were truly a credit to the school.  Well done!
