This year’s dance festival by the Castlebrook and Philips Sports Partnership was a huge success. Pupils from both high schools along with pupils from Chapelfield Primary, Whitefield Primary, Sunnybank Primary, St Andrew’s Radcliffe Primary and Unsworth Primary created their own duets and dances based on different cultures from around the world. The pupils have been busy over the last 10 weeks rehearsing and perfecting their routine. The Dance Specialist Alex Scott has been into each of the schools to help pupils create and learn movements. The last three weeks have been spent with the supporting teacher polishing the performance and adding choreography.The pupils from Philips High School performed street dance routines, whilst pupils from Castlebrook High School performed a dance street routine and a cheerleading routine. The pupils have put in a lot of time and effort - this finally paid off on the night. Well done everyone! We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
