Bolton and Bury Business Partnership Schools Enterprise Competition |

The competition was held at Radcliffe Civic Centre on Tuesday 28th April and the Castlebrook Enterprise Team entered 2 teams. Below is a report from the Enterprise Team about how the events of the day unfolded! 
Having received no brief and just a vague outline of the day, we were quite apprehensive when we entered the Civic Centre. There were about 10 other teams from other Bury schools. The task was to develop 3 business ideas which would help to raise money for Age Concern. Using the information provided, we had to develop our ideas and present them to a group of judges later in the day. Both Castlebrook groups performed well and we all feel that we accomplished a lot – most of the pupils from the other Bury schools were studying for the Business Studies Diploma so when one of our teams reached the final, we were really pleased! In the final we were up against two other teams – Phillips High and Prestwich High. We presented very well but were narrowly beaten by Phillips! Even though we didn’t win we all enjoyed the day and gained a lot from it.
The Enterprise Team are Jenny Farrell, Sally Fletcher, Jenny Settle, Nicola Arnold, Jessica Szpak, Jade Dewhurst, Liam Swanston and Jake Harris.
